Hi Curtis and Michael, Thanks for checking out the forum and for your kind thoughts. I think that this forum will provide a way for listeners to the pod casts to have "small conversations" as the Sharoon suggested in Hour 117. This pod cast (117) was a very powerful one and was a confirmation to me that I was on the right path in this endeavor. As I look back now, this whole series of events began only a few weeks ago on the night of the 26th of December. That night a little bit before 7:00 I looked out my window and saw the most amazing thing. It was a huge ball of light traveling in a straight horizontal line going north to south. As it reached the middle of my view, it exploded into a huge star burst pattern and then collapsed into a tiny point and disappeared. It was breathtakingly beautiful and I felt such a mixture of deep emotions but most of all, I felt loved. When I woke the next day, I read all about the fireball reports throughout the midwest and I started thinking that maybe that is what I witnessed and I just put the thought aside... But the feeling never left me that it was something more then that. It wasn't long after this when I started getting strong impulses and thoughts about doing something on the internet followed by a strong desire to bring it to fruition. I am not very skilled with computers or the internet, but anything i needed was provided by the skills of my family. All bumps in the road to accomplishing this were quickly smoothed over and now this forum stands as the fruit of that process. I pray that it is pleasing to All... the hidden hands in all of this and to our Creator Jesus Christ Michael of Nebadon. Subject: Hell Michael and Curtis, I just wanted to give my 2 cents on the concept of hell, hollow earth, prison planets; punishment in the afterlife for non believers at the tail end of last week's podcast. I'm no teacher. Just reflecting. I only refer to the Urantia Book here. The entire idea of some sort of human like punishment for open and willful rejection of First Source seems contrary to every word uttered by Jesus as well as the description of the learning mansion worlds in the Urantia Book. As I see it there is only one real punishment, the end of your personality as if you never were because you ultimately could not accept or understand God's will. These would be the seeds that fall upon the rocks to die and be eaten by crows in the parable. "The wages of sin is death" is repeated a few times in the UBook. Death is defined elsewhere in the book as physical, mental or spiritual death. Spiritual death is the willful termination of your personality by those responsible for ending you should you completely reject God. What is left of the life force that was given to you is returned to the Supreme Being. Finally anything good you did is retained by your newly released Thought Adjuster. The concepts put forward in Dante's Inferno of levels of Hell and what appears to be the Catholic idea of purgatory seem to be defined in barbaric and fear ridden human terms, not divine terms. I don't doubt there are horned beings and a waiting place in the depths of the Earth. Anything seems possible. But not for the mindless purpose of just punishing sentient beings. It just doesn't wash. When Jesus "descended into hell" he probably visited these people who were charged with the care of the sleeping dead awaiting resurrection for transport to the Mansion worlds. Hello Curtis, Here is the video I was thinking about and the excerpt from the Urantia Book.
From the Urantia Book 39:5.12 The erroneous idea that angels possess wings is not wholly due to olden notions that they must have wings to fly through the air. Human beings have sometimes been permitted to observe seraphim that were being prepared for transport service, and the traditions of these experiences have largely determined the Urantian concept of angels. In observing a transport seraphim being made ready to receive a passenger for interplanetary transit, there may be seen what are apparently double sets of wings extending from the head to the foot of the angel. In reality these wings are energy insulators - friction shields. 39:5.13 When celestial beings are to be enseraphimed for transfer from one world to another, they are brought to the headquarters of the sphere and, after due registry, are inducted into the transit sleep. Meantime, the transport seraphim moves into a horizontal position immediately above the universe energy pole of the planet. While the energy shields are wide open, the sleeping personality is skillfully deposited, by the officiating seraphic assistants, directly on top of the transport angel. Then both the upper and lower pairs of shields are carefully closed and adjusted. Aloha, |
